8th Annual Future of Transportation and Mobility Series Highlights Resilience and Commercialization in Next-Gen Mobility

HAMILTON, ON – November 13, 2025 – Yesterday, the eighth annual Future of Transportation and Mobility Series (FTMS) successfully concluded, convening stakeholders, innovators, and industry leaders to discuss the sector’s evolving landscape. Hosted by the Centre for Integrated Transportation and Mobility (CITM), the conference centered on the theme: “Rethinking Resilience for the Next Era of Mobility,” addressing the need for a stable and scalable sector amid global economic uncertainty.

The event distinguished itself by focusing on the opportunities to grow and scale a sustainable mobility ecosystem through three lenses: the role of AI and data analytics in predictive infrastructure, strategies for accelerating innovation and commercialization, and navigating the technical and regulatory pipelines necessary for secure deployment.

The event opened with a fireside chat looking at Data & AI: Driving Sustainable Mobility, where Bob Bradley (Geotab) and Abhinav Narayanan (Geotab) and moderator, Andrea Johnson (Mohawk College) explored how adopting data and AI can result in a more sustainable transportation future, setting the tone for the day’s focus on technological resilience. This was followed by the panel, “Dismantling the Delivery Gap,” which examined the complexities of integrating and commercializing innovative mobility solutions, featuring practical perspectives from Titu Botos (NeuronicWorks Inc.), Rohit Shanker (Naryant), and moderator Dr. Carolyn Moorlag (Sheridan College). This session underscored the need for specialized product development and data intelligence expertise to achieve market readiness. The afternoon concluded with a keynote by Bern Grush (Pudocity), analyzing the infrastructure implications of proactive Pickup/Drop-off (PUDO) orchestration as essential for preserving municipal control and securing lost parking revenue streams in the autonomous era.
