Ontario is uniquely positioned as a world-leading jurisdiction in automotive manufacturing and smart mobility. However, the industry is facing significant transformation due to ongoing technological disruptions, implying that the next generation of workers in the sector will require drastically different skills than those today.
The Ontario Centre of Innovation (OCI), formerly known as Ontario Centres of Excellence, is working with Ernst & Young (EY) as part of its Autonomous Vehicle Innovation Network (AVIN) initiative to conduct a labour market study for key segments of the automotive and mobility sector. To inform our analysis, we would like to invite you to take part in a short, 10-15 minute survey between now and April 9th, 2021. The questions are centered around understanding:
- Current occupational and skills requirements for key roles at your organization
- The impact of COVID-19 on the skills relevant to your sector
- Emerging and future labour market trends in your sector
As a key member of the automotive and mobility sector in Ontario, we value your participation and feedback. All responses are confidential and anonymous and will be aggregated so that no individual responses can be identified.
